Planning Supervisors
FW Consulting are experienced Planning Supervisors and understand the importance of undertaking this role professionally in the interests of safety during construction and for those undertaking future maintenance and repairs for the lifetime of the project.
Structural Engineering
We have a depth of experience ranging from domestic structural appraisals for property purchases, remortgaging and building control approvals, to multi-million pound developments including Citylink Business Park in Belfast, and the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin. Our Structural Engineers are highly competent in employing the latest design software to allow us to provide highly proficient and cost effective solutions, even with the most intricate of buildings. Recent projects have included industrial, residential and commercial development, and the refurbishment of existing buildings for alternative usage. We provide structural designs for timber framed buildings and are registered NHBC certifiers for timber frame design.
Civil Engineering
Our Chartered Civil Engineers can provide infrastructure packages including, road layouts together with foul and storm sewer designs for various types of projects, and for the most intricate of sites. Each project can be taken from the initial concept stage to the preparation of detailed construction drawings. Projects completed include, infrastructure design for housing developments ranging from 10 to 400 dwellings. Schemes have occasionally included structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls and all other aspects of infrastructure design to full technical approval for adoption by the relevant authorities. Every Civil Engineering design is carried out within the guidelines of the brief to achieve the most efficient solution for the client.
Feasibility studies
Assessments can range from simple advice to a comprehensive report on the options for change of use, remodelling, extending, and increasing the height of existing buildings. We can offer appraisals on the potential for development or redevelopment of any site.
Energy Performance/SAP
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) gives home owners, tenants and buyers information on the energy efficiency of their property by grading its standard energy and carbon emission efficiency from A to G. The efficiency is measured using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculations.
An EPC is required by law for all new buildings and any existing building for sale or rent. It allows for comparison of the energy efficiency of different properties and provides advice on improving the rating, the cost involved, and the potential savings to be made per year.
FW Consulting are fully accredited building energy assessors and can provide Energy Performance Certificates for any property.
