History

FW Consulting was formed in December 2003 having previously practiced as Design + Management. We have almost 25 years experience of successfully undertaking design services from concept to satisfactory completion for a wide and varied range of civil and structural engineering projects, and in partnership with MacRae Hanlon Spence since October 2005 we have worked on a number of large architectural projects. We have extensive experience in undertaking fast track projects with the emphasis on value engineering, buildability and quality.

Managing Director:

Campbell Malseed attended Coleraine Academical Institution before continuing his education at Queens University Belfast. He graduated Civil Engineering in 1976 and worked on site for 4 years before joining McAdam Design. While there he became a Chartered Engineer, and in 1984 became a Founding Partner of Design + Management.

Director:

Gabriel Smyth was born in Fermanagh. He studied at St Michaels College Enniskillen and graduated from the University of Ulster Jordanstown in 1992. He is a Chartered Engineer whose experience included 8 years Site Management on large Civil Engineering and Building projects with Graham Construction before moving into Structural Engineering Design.

Director:

Peter Moore comes from Killinchy in County Down. He went to school in Downpatrick and then studied Civil Engineering at the Ulster Polytechnic. His early working years were spent with Ferguson McIlveen and Charles Brand before joining Design + Management in 1985. He has now accumulated 30 years extensive experience in Infrastructure Engineering.

Quality Management

The Practice is Constructionline registered and has a Quality Management System in place which has been assessed as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001. We are also approved under the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER) for the certification of design of building structures in Scotland, and are registered NHBC certifiers for timber frame design.
